Robert Pattinson might play a dim-witted down and out in The Rover, but he certainly scrubbed up well for the L.A. based premiere.
The actor was the last to arrive on the red carpet but he instantly lit up the event with his royal blue Alexander McQueen suit, and stubbly good looks.
Pattinson lived up to his down-to-earth nice guy image by running to sign autographs and take selfies with his fans across the street before walking the red carpet and flashing his pearly whites for the press.
Pattinson has received rave reviews for his role in the David Michôd directed movie, but he had to audition for the part despite his fame.
Luckily, Michôd had the wisdom to give Pattinson a chance and help him to avoid the pitfalls of pigeon holes.
I've learned not to dismiss actors based on preconceptions, and he was a classic example. I understand how young actors can paint themselves into luxurious corners, and I knew if I could get the movie made and Robert played that character, the world would see a skill set he has that I don't think he's previously ever demonstrated
I can't wait to see it!
