Game of Thrones has definitely taken over a lot of our lives, but it seems to have taken over Kit Harington's perhaps the most. Although the star, who plays Jon Snow in the phenomenally popular HBO series, probably has a lot of his year locked down filming, it also seems like he doesn't even have jurisdiction over his own scalp.
When appearing recently on Live with Kelly and Michael, Harington explained he is contractually obliged to keep his hair long. He stated:
It has its own contract, definitely. I’m just not allowed to cut it, and I didn’t realize this until recently. I wanted to cut it, you know, I've had long hair for ages, and they were like ‘No, no, no, that won’t be happening.’
He went on to explain that the [Game of Thrones](movie:817617) creators and creatives do not like recreating hair with cosmetics, and apparently his agent has been involved in lengthy discussions with HBO about how much he's allowed to get trimmed off when visiting the barbers.
Personally, I do like it when I know a character's hair is their actual own, but I definitely wouldn't like some studio suits to be telling me how to trim my hairdo.
You'll be able to see his luscious curly locks in action in the Game of Thrones Season 4 finale this Sunday.
