Forty years after it debuted and took the horror world by storm, Tobe Hooper's classic film, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, is returning to theatres this summer. Hooper himself worked on the film's restoration, which will bring us the film in a brand new 4K transfer. This is roughly four times the resolution of the 2K that is most commonly used . This is the only transer of the movie to go back to the original 16mm A/B rolls; this is the actual film that rolled through the cameras in 1974. According to Hooper, "the film works as well, if not better, than it originally did."
