'Silence of the Lambs' (1991) is a brilliant example of how horror and twisted mind blowing films should be. Don't forget an amazing performance from Anthony Hopkins as Dr. Hannibal Lecter. This is a interesting story about Hannibal Lecter a psychiatrist who suddenly became a violent psychopath who ended up doing acts of murder and cannibalism.

This film takes us through a young FBI student Clarice Starling (Jodie Foster) who meets with Hannibal to get help in solving and stopping a murderer who goes by the name of Buffalo Bill. Only this murderer works in different ways and kills his victims differently compared to Hannibal.

This film meets the expectation of a Crime/Thriller along with gruesome horror and vile behaviour. It's an interesting film to watch about the story of Hannibal and the continuing franchise which made 3 more films after such as 'Hannibal' (2001), 'Red Dragon' (2002) and 'Hannibal Rising' (2007) a prequel to 'Silence of the Lambs' of showing us young Hannibal and how this all began.

It's like he didn't do anything?

The film from the very beginning gave us a lot of suspense of wondering who is this man, who is Hannibal? With all the dialogue being direct and to the point we the audience would get frightened when hearing 'Don't get to close to the glass' this builds tension as a viewer as there didn't need to be any action as the words were powerful enough to scare us when first being introduced to Hannibal on screen.

One of my favourite dialogue scenes in this film, see below.

I highly recommend this film a watch if your into gruesome crime/thriller with a dash of horror! As things do get ugly as the franchise continues.
