DC Comics has announced that Shazam will be hitting the big screen with his first solo film. Wether or not he will be in the Justice League film is uncertain. There only leaves one thing, who will they cast as Shazam?
This is exciting news for DC Comics fans. I'm sort of excited, mainly because it's a new face that isn't very familiar with the general public. For those of you who aren't familiar with Shazam, well, here's a briefing: Shazam, formerly known as Captain Marvel is an alter ego of a boy named Billy Batson. Whenever Billy's in trouble he says the word, "Shazam!", which then shoots a magic lightning bolt that transforms him from a boy into an adult superhero.
There's been a lot of talk about who will play Shazam. There's also been a lot of talk that it will be "The Rock"....now, listen, Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, I could never picture being Shazam. He doesn't even look like him. I don't like him as an actor, I can't take him seriously....I'm sorry to his fans. But come on, you want this guy...
...to be Shazam aka Captain Marvel?! NO! "The Rock" could be Black Adam perfectly fine though. That's another rumor going around, that he is up to play Black Adam, I still wouldn't be too happy because I don't like seeing big name action blockbuster stars being super heroes or villains. That's just me. They need to bring in people who aren't so well known. Yes, Ben Affleck is very well known, but he suits the super hero role. I just can't look at "The Rock" and say, "Oh yeah, he'd be perfect to cast in a super hero movie. Cast him as Black Adam, fine, I won't be pleased, but I won't be objected to it. If they find someone better, then great. I guess we will see.
Look, his name has been tossed around a lot before, but it's true, this guy is a way better choice for Shazam, Patrick Warburton...
...HA! I'm kidding, could you imagine if they did cast him. The real guy I'm talking about here is, Brandon Molale. I mean come on! The dude is perfect!
How could they even consider "The Rock" when you have him?! It's mind blowing to me. He's a way better actor than "The Rock". He could at least bring some real comedy to the film, instead of Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson's blandness. I think he is a WAY better pick for Shazam than "The Rock".
