If asked to review the original Purge, the majority of people will say that it was decent, but poorly executed. I personally really enjoyed The Purge and am incredibly excited for the sequel! Okay, so the general execution wasn't great, but I guess that means there's room for improvement right? There's also a more interesting premise for this sequel, instead of just being yet another home invasion movie.

One night a year, all crime - including murder - is legal for 12 hours. A man heads out into the chaos, intent on killing thugs as revenge for his son's death, but ends up rescuing a stranded couple, who are trying to survive on the streets after their car broke down just at the commencement of the annual Purge.

You can catch The Purge: Anarchy in cinemas on July 18th.
