I was pretty skeptical when I first decided to watch this movie. But I have to admit after watching it I was pleasantly surprised. It was actually a really good movie. Better than I expected. It is a refreshing take on the Dracula story line. It is similar to Bram Stoker's Dracula in a lot of ways but also has its own unique twist. That's what I like about it. If you were a fan of Bram Stoker's Dracula I think you will enjoy this also. Don't get me wrong, its not as high budget as Bram Stoker's Dracula but it is a decent movie. I really recommend giving it try. Veteran actor Jon Voight stars in it.
Summary: In order to defeat Dracula, Leonardo Van Helsing must convince a young thief to accept his heritage as a descendent of Cain. Not to be mistaken for the USA Network movie from 2000, this is a fairy tale fantasy version of the often told Count Dracula legend. Horror fans more interested in night creatures, fangs, bats and blood shed should look for a different movie, but someone just interested in a new take on the Dracula legend should really give it try. Where this movie is also different is it puts a Cain and Abel spin on the legend and that's all I will say because I don't want to spoil anything. So if you get a chance, give it a shot and see what you think.
