Game of Thrones' show-runners have confirmed one of the major locations for the series' fifth season - and it looks as though the show is set to head south.

Speaking to Entertainment Weekly, D.B. Weiss and David Benioff were asked whether we can expect to see the southern homeland of a certain Oberyn Martell in the coming season. Their response was emphatic:

There will be Dorne, and we’re excited about it. Who wouldn’t want to hang out in Dorne? They have admirable values and priorities. And have you seen Oberyn’s coat?

Which means we're set to see a whole lot more of Westeros' southernmost kingdom. The question is - is that as far as we're going to go? Though the show moving part of it's production to Spain had already prompted suspicions of a Dornish arrival, Weiss and Benioff have been more than happy to adjust the books established continuity thus far. Is it possible that Spain could end up the setting of other, less expected locations?

Sadly, it'll be almost a year until we find out - and get to meet some of Dorne's much discussed characters.

[Game of Thrones](movie:817617) will return in 2015.
