COWABUNGA! As the heroes in a half shell celebrate their 30th anniversary this year, Nickelodeon has picked up a fourth season of the popular Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles CG-animated series with a 20-episode run.

Nickelodeon's President of Content Development and Production, Russell Hicks, commented that:

The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles has been a global hit, maintaining impressive numbers across the network’s ratings and our digital and consumer products platforms. While new episodes will continue to debut on Nickelodeon, we look forward to propelling the momentum with a fourth season for our loyal fans.

Joining the series later in Season 3 actor Seth Green, who will voice Leonardo. He replaces Jason Biggs and joins a cast that includes Sean Astin (Raphael), Rob Paulsen (Donatello), Greg Cipes (Michelangelo), Mae Whitman (April O'Neil), and Hoon Lee (Master Splinter)...

(What's that, I hear you cry? Jason Biggs departing TMNT? Guess he found a pie he really liked...)

Anyway, I think I could enjoy Seth Green voicing one of the Turtles, had it been from the get go. Having it start in the third season is probably going to be a little strange (although keen-eared fans may have noticed Biggs' voice was absent from a couple of recent episodes). I wonder if they will have a fun *wink*wink* comment explaining the change... That said, the guy is a fantastic voice actor so I think we're in safe hands.

What do you guys think - will Seth Green make a good Leonardo?
