[Beneath](movie:939398) is a horror based on a group of modern-day miners who are working in a toxic mine that once lost nineteen men. The villagers tried numerous times to rescue them but the 'nineteen' died in the mine; or did they?
The men now return to inflict bloody, deathly havoc on anyone who decides to venture down.

From this trailer it seems to be giving more of an explanatory slant to the dead miners where the first trailer sets it up as an out and out horror slasher. I can't really see the motives there are for this other than giving the miners a back story; perhaps making them more than just a standard, dumb zombie.
Using the concept of a group of men that were hell bent on survival and setting it in a zombie context certainly has interesting plot potentials and from the previous trailer it does look to be a well-shot horror. I'll be interested to see what the results are and if they even use this footage or trailer as part of the final film.

Beneath is released in limited theaters July 25th and available on VOD June 27th from IFC at midnight.
