Shortly after the PlayStation 4's release rumors were circulating that Playstation Plus+ members would be able to acquire early access to pre-ordered content. We didn't quite know what that meant or how that was going to function until now.
"We all know that some of the biggest games can take a while to download, and with the pre-load functionality, you'll be able to download and install those huge files up to several days in advance."
Stated an official Sony representative on the Playstation Blog, according to news editor Eddie Makuch from GameSpot.com. If a Playstation Plus+ member pre-orders a game, they will be able to download and install the game a few days prior to launch so they can the have access to it at the moment of the midnight release.
"All you have to do is pre-order the game, make sure your PS4 remains in standby mode, and sit back and relax," stated the representative.
