That's right kids, Jason Voorhees will be coming back at ya! In 3D! Yup, just like Friday the 13th Part 3, the newest entry in the reboot of the series will be in 3D.
Now, I don't know about you, but I was pretty unimpressed with a 3D Jason the first time around, however, 3D has come quite a long way since 1982. That being said, tons of people still don't care for 3D. Personally, I only pay for 3D when it's a horror movie. Or Pixar. So, unlike 98% of the population, I had a lovely time at Texas Chainsaw Massacre 3D, Pirnha 3D and Fright Night 3D. I quite enjoy having blood, gore and the occasional severed penis flying off of the movie screen. Besides, if the new Friday the 13th is in 3D, then that must mean that it will no longer be a found footage film like we all feared.
David Bruckner, co-director on The Signal and V/H/S, is in talks to direct. It has been reported that Bruckner will not be post-converting to 3D, so that is a huge step in the right direction already. Clearly, I will be first in line for a 3D version of Jason Voorhees. What about you?
Are you excited about the new Friday the 13th being filmed in 3D?
