Another day, another huge revelation from the Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice set...

Only this time, huge is a very literal understatement.

Remember that leaked image of a Superman statue a few weeks back? Well, it's back, and it's gotten a whole lot bigger since last we saw it:

Which is...massive.

Seriously, seriously massive.

It's reportedly set to feature in the movie as part of a ceremonial unveiling of...itself. Batman-News are suggesting that the statue "was built to celebrate Superman saving the Earth in the first movie" - and that the missing head and body parts remained absent throughout filming, suggesting that Henry Cavill's features will be added in with CGI.

Which is really cool and all - although I suspect more or less what we all thought it would be a few weeks back, with the first image's release. The coolest thing about it, in many ways, isn't how it'll feature, but just how big it'll be. By way of comparison, we thought we'd take a look at a few examples of how this bad boy measures up to five of the Superman statues we've seen before.

Yep, that's right. It's Batman v Superman statue vs all of the other statues time:

Versus the Superman (and Superboy) Memorial Statue in Metropolis' Centennial Park?

Batman v Superman wins. Even with Lex Luthor for perspective.

Versus the statue outside Metropolis' Superman museum?

Not even close. Batman v Superman for the (not unnecessarily purple) win.

Versus DC Universe Online's Centennial Park statue?

It's tight, but I'd say Batman v Superman edges it. Though it lacks that distinctive gold shine.

Versus the actual, real-life Metropolis, Illinois' Superman statue?

Batman v Superman is far, far larger - though bonus points to Metropolis for being awesome enough to have that statue in the first place.

Versus Jeph Loeb's enormous Batman/Superman statues?

Well, that's just cheating....

But, even so - just to reiterate before we all head back to whatever it is we were doing - this thing is HUGE.

Which has to bode well for the movie's scale, right? If the statues are that big, just think of the fight scenes...

[Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice](movie:711870) is currently set for worldwide release May 6, 2016.

What do you guys think? Is the statue going to be as epic as it seems in these pictures?
