Out with the old, in with the new?

No...but YES!

Marvels current cinematic universe is certainly fantastic and exciting. Superheroes from popular comic books are being portrayed on the big screen in a way that we had only dreamed about just 10 years ago. Technology has caught up to a point where anything is possible in the theater, and its opened up infinite possibilities for the newly founded superhero "genre".

With [Guardians of the Galaxy](movie:424073) right around the corner, it's safe to say that the Marvel universe is moving in a direction that leads the Avengers into a war with aliens, space gods, and of course the Mad Titan himself...Thanos.

That battle however seems to be being saved for [The Avengers 3](movie:738027). Avengers 2: Age of Ultron will have Ultron as its main villain, a psychopathic robot with a twisted view of reality on a quest for world domination and human extinction.

My question is what happens after Avengers 2, and then also Avengers 3?

LOL!
LOL!

There are a lot of new characters being introduced into this universe. Some are rumors, and some are already getting their own film. So far we have heard mention of Daredevil, Luke Cage, Iron Fist, Jessica Jones, Black Panther, Doctor Strange, Captain Marvel, Nova, [Ant-Man](movie:9048), Wasp, and even Namor.

Adding that to the already existing cast of heroes, and you've got a HUGE amount of characters you can use.

My thought is, there is no way all of them can exist together on one team, right?

Having 6 superheroes on one Avengers team was a lot already, imagine having around 12-15! It'd be nuts, chaotic, and no one character would get real screen time.

So naturally we divide the heroes up into separate teams, thus giving them separate movies. Everybody wins!

These teams would only cross paths on occasion. I also think it would be smart if characters kept leaving their teams and joining other teams as the stories progress.

Marvel has already announced the Netflix TV series' for Daredevil, Luke Cage, Iron Fist, and Jessica Jones. The stories of these four characters will eventually lead into a movie called The Defenders, which is another superhero team from the comic books.

What about [Black Panther](movie:9047), Doctor Strange, Captain Marvel, Nova, Ant-Man, Wasp, and Namor you ask?

BOOM! New Avengers!

Whatever happens at the end of Avengers 2 and 3 leads are heroes to a point where they need to add a few more good guys to the team, or form a new team altogether.

The New Avengers is a fairly new series, having only started back in 2006. The original members were some characters we have already seen, and others we have yet to meet. Some are on the team officially, and others just pop in now and again. These characters include but aren't limited to Captain America, Iron-Man, Spider Woman, Spiderman, Luke Cage, Daredevil, Wolverine, and The Sentry.

Over time, more and more characters join and leave the New Avengers. It seems to make sense in the current cinematic universe to mix-and-match the characters to form this team. Especially since characters like Spiderman and Wolverine are out of reach due to the movie rights not being owned by Marvel.

Here is who I think should join the team on the big screen.

Black Panther, Doctor Strange, Captain Marvel, Iron Patriot, Captain America, Luke Cage, and Wasp.

Why not Namor, Daredevil, Iron Fist, The Sentry, Nova, Ant-Man, Spider Woman, or Jessica Jones?

Namor would fit well on the team, but I don't think he'd fit into the Marvel Universe just yet. Maybe down the line, but not yet.

Daredevil, Iron Fist, and Jessica Jones have their own thing with the Defenders going. Luke Cage makes the crossover though, which he's known to do.

The Sentry is a mess. Seriously. Look him up.

Nova is a space related character, and would fit better joining the Guardians of the Galaxy.

Spider Woman is a tough choice, but its hard to say whether or not Marvel will use her, due to the inability to use Spiderman. It would make her a difficult character to write for. Imagine writing her story while all the while attempting to not say something that incites a lawsuit. Not fun.

And lastly Ant-Man. One of the most accomplished failures of the Marvel Universe. He is responsible for some of the most amazing discoveries, and yet also responsible for some of the most horrible tragedies. He's a risk, and if i was making a superhero team, I'd avoid him. However I do think he should be in the movie, with his connection to Wasp and all.

So...

Black Panther, Doctor Strange, Captain Marvel, Iron Patriot, Captain America, Luke Cage, and Wasp.

I made this team assuming after the events of Avengers 2 & 3, the current Avengers are retiring or dead. Captain America is still included, but would be Bucky Barnes, aka The Winter Soldier. Also, Iron Patriot steps in to fill the shoes of his buddy Tony Stark.

Let me know what you think of the team! Do you agree?
