Hey everyone! I would like to talk about a film that I am looking forward to—second only to [Avatar 2](movie:38662)— Prometheus 2! I don't know about you guys, but the first Prometheus was fantastic in my opinion. I thought that the Engineers looked awesome, and the idea Ridley Scott plastered on the Big Screen was wonderful. It's been a while since I've seen Prometheus, but I remember sitting back wishing I could have thought of some of the things the film had.
First things first. Guy Pearce announced on/with IGN that he was wanting to reprise the character that he had played before, Peter Weyland. I can't say that I was disappointed with any of the acting in the first film, so no harm done there.
However, the screen time that Pearce receives with the next film is something that is unknown as of right now. It all depends on how Ridley Scott decides execute the sequel. I've read places that it may only be in flashback sequences that Pearce will appear, but there are others that hope he makes an actual appearance in real-time for the movie.
None of the story as far as plot goes has been revealed yet, and I think this is a smart move by Scott. I don't like when directors release a ton of information about a film that hasn't came out yet, because rumors (that are often inaccurate) assert that they know how the film is going to go etc. when they really don't.
I am curious to know whether in [Prometheus 2](movie:512281) Scott will reveal where the Engineers came from, but I understand that it would lead to a lot more questions. That is probably my biggest curiosity from a story standpoint.
There is not a whole lot to say about this film and its details since there has been very little said about it, but I don't think I'm the only one that is looking forward to this sequel that is supposed to come out sometime in 2016.
With Scott's resume of films and his excellent work in the sci-fi genre, I have no doubts that this film is going to be one of the better ones of 2016.
