The Horror Honeys

A little while ago, the trailer for a spanish language horror film set in Colombia was released - Gallows Hill. It looked pretty spooky if I do say so myself.

Gallows Hill has acquired a new name, and now, The Damned has a new poster and an official release date! The Damned will be released in the U.S. via IFC July 25th on VOD and then in limited theatres on August 29th.

The story follows an American (Facinelli), widowed from his Colombia-born wife, who flies to Bogota with his new fiancée (Myles) to retrieve his rebellious teenage daughter Jill (Ramos). After a car accident leaves them stranded in a rundown isolated inn, they discover the old innkeeper has locked a young girl in the basement and their decision to set her free has unintended consequences.

Now, whether this name change means there will be any changes to the storyline or the Saw/Hostel feel of the trailer remains to be seen, but with a name like The Damned, I'm hoping they're adding some supernatural elements, or a sprinkling of good old fashioned satanism.
