It's been 13 years (I feel so OLD!) since the three lovable scamps who were hand-picked to embody our favourite characters hit cinema screens in 2001.
Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint and Emma Watson were aged between 11 and 13 when they captivated us with their wit and daring in Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone, and a lot has happened since then.
As well as defeating Voldemort, Radcliffe, Grint and Watson have been doing a lot of growing up in real-life. These former child stars will always be fascinating to us, because we grew up alongside them. So, let's have a peek at the triumphs and tribulations that the holy trinity have faced after leaving the safety of Hogwarts behind.
Current Age: 24 (D.O.B - 23 July 1989)
Location: West Village, New York City
Estimated Fortune: Approximately £30m making Radcliffe the 12th richest young person in the U.K.
Notable Movie Roles: [The Woman in Black](movie:41273) , Kill Your Darlings, The F Word and [Frankenstein](movie:665601)
Biggest Triumph: Radcliffe took the West End by storm when he took part in Equus along with the gasping revelations that the young actor could "really act," the press had a field day with the full frontal on-stage nudity.
Most Stinking Scandals: Daniel Radcliffe has managed to keep his nose relatively clean for someone who came of age in the public eye, but there have been a few slip ups. Radcliffe admitted he has a problem with alcohol in 2010. The Life and Career of Daniel Radcliffe states that when the actor was only a young teen, he began sneaking drinks at his parents house. From this point on, he became totally dependent on alcohol. Radcliffe moved out of his parent’s house at the age of 17 and became a shut in, preferring to drink alone at home after filming, than go out with any of his friends. He has since given up alcohol and states that he enjoys living "the quiet life."
Romantic Ties: Although he is yet to confirm their relationship publicly, Radcliffe is believed to be dating his [Kill Your Darlings](movie:311929) co-star, Erin Darke.
The pair stepped out together at the recent Tony Awards and were said to have been "inseparable" with "great chemistry." It's thought that they have kept their relationship secret for years to avoid public pressure.
Current Age: 25 (D.O.B - 24 August 1988)
Location: Hertfordshire, Britain
Estimated Fortune: £24 million according to the Sunday Times Rich List 2012
Notable Movie Roles: Cherrybomb, [Into the White](movie:844532) , [CBGB](movie:401415) and [Postman Pat](movie:1500371)
Biggest Triumph: Like Radcliffe, some of Grint's most triumphant moments have come from proving his acting ability on the stage. Fresh from the imposing shadow of Hogwarts, Grint swaggered onto the West End to play a narcotics crazed gangster in Mojo to resounding applause about his performance.
Weasley has recently been cast to play British skiing eccentric "Eddie the Eagle" and, from his passion about the role, this is one to look out for! The downhill skier who was famous for his lack of skill and constantly being placed last. When questioned about the role Grint said;
He was such a character in every respect. In many ways, his whole life seemed like a slapstick comedy. But he also had complete guts. He would dive headfirst off this massive slope. It’s really dangerous – people do die doing it. He was risking his life to get last place. He was partially blind and hardly had any training at all. But he just had this amazing determination to achieve something. I have so much respect for him
Let's wait and see!
Most Stinking Scandals: Rupert Grint's most scandalous moments revolve around drugs, but it isn't ever him doing them... He was pictured huffing from what looked decidedly like a bong in 2011, but then his reps claimed it was in fact an impersonator.
In another scandalous moment the star recounted being involved in another drugs related experience. Grint witnessed Shia La Beouf take LSD for real on the set of The Necessary Death of Charlie Countryman and he wasted no time telling the press all about it. He explained;
He smashed the place up, got naked and kept seeing this owl. If anything will make you not do drugs, it's watching that.
Romantic Ties: Rupert Grint might have one of the most loved faces in the world, but that hasn't improved his confidence with girls. The actor has admitted that "when it comes to girls I'm quite immature" and explained to the press that "I've never been seriously involved with anyone. I've certainly never been in love. I've always preferred to keep things casual."
He did have a recent unfortunate incident with an online dating site though, Unlucky, Rupert!
Current Age: 24 (D.O.B- April 15 1990)
Location: Upper East Side, New York City
Estimated Fortune: £26 million
Notable Movie Roles: The Perks of Being a Wallflower, [The Bling Ring](movie:368770), [Noah](movie:204057) and Regression
Biggest Triumph: Just like her Harry Potter character, Herimone Granger, Watson has always been a bit of an academic.
The actress was reluctant to dedicate her life to acting without completing a university education and she recently graduated from the prestigious Brown university with a degree in English literature.
Most Stinking Scandals: Watson isn't quite as straight-laced as Herimone, however!
While she was still working on the Potter franchise a picture surfaced of the actress chugging down a Corona at the dinner table aged 15.
But, apart from a couple of embarrassing wardrobe malfunctions, Watson has been a remarkably good girl.
She even dumped her last long term boyfriend, Will Adamowicz, over allegations of his drug use.
Romantic Ties: Emma Watson was recently spotted getting liplocked with her boyfriend, hunky rugby player Matthew Janney.
He might be a strapping sportsman, but Emma Watson admitted in a recent interview that she felt the need to protect him. She said;
I don't date people who are famous and I don't think it's fair that, all of a sudden, intimate details of their personal life are public as a direct result of me. I wish I could protect them
