Law and Order and Linkin Park fans should both be happy with today's latest trailer release for Mall (A Day To Kill), bandmate Joseph Hahn's directorial debut, a movie based on based on Eric Bogosian's 2001 novel of the same name, which features music by Chester Bennington, Mike Shinoda and Phoenix of Linkin Park and stars Vincent D'Onofrio.

Focusing on the events of a disastrous shopping mall shooting, the event brings together the lives of five suburbanites. Give the trailer a watch and see what you think:

Based on this first trailer for the Mall, the movie looks to combine gritty social commentary on public shootings, teen angst enough to make Nirvana jealous, and some really trippy drugs. The official synopsis of the movie reads:

Because he has nothing to lose, a young marginal decides to eliminate all those who will cross his path. A downward spiral that will collide with slices of unusual life: a guard ready to sacrifice his life for his job, a voyeur who finds himself in spite of himself on the side of the victims, an exhibitionist with a big heart.

Will Mall feel less like a trailer than a music video? It'd hardly be surprising, as Hahn has directed several of those for the band. Let's wait and see...

Will you be taking a trip to the Mall?
