i know my years are not over considering they've not really begun but as someone new to moviepilot i thought it might be best to just show a little about me as i will with the response from you guys and gals and if there's one thing i love more than anything that is horror movies.most people from like the age of 5 would of woken up to those morning cartoons everyone loved so much but noo...not ME i always got up and it wasn't "good morning, everyone it was always no matter what "mum! mum! what we watching,it best be a horror film!" i swear my darling mum would never sigh or moan she would smile to see how happy i was with the view of good old Freddy or Jason slowly chasing down their next prey,or maybe some of the freakiest zombies ever hunting crazily for their meals but for me zombie films were always the best for me and here's my list
5. Day of the dead
i know im not that old but to me when i first watched George A Romero's day of the dead it changed my whole perspective of zombies and how they can change over time and how someone with a pen can create a craze that will be re watched for many years to come fascinated me and i couldn't help but watch more this was pretty much the first zombie film i really couldn't get enough of just how well they worked with what they had intrigues me I LOVE IT!
4. dawn of the dead
zack snyder's remake to George A Romero's dawn of the dead had me speechless running zombies? who comes up with this? it amazed me as soon as i seen poster that my brother had held high on his wall i knew this film was for me it introduced a new terror to TV screens everywhere as if zombies weren't messed up enough, right? Now someone had to give them more speed but to be honest it wasn't just the fact that it had sprinting zombies it was more the action it was the camerawork the amazing introduction that amazed me and left me wanting more this film just changed my knowledge of zombies altogether but now i know CARRY BEAR TRAPS DURING ZOMBIE APOCALYPSE!!
3. 28 days later
personally for a young lad that lives in England this film made me pretty glad that its a 5 hour drive to London so if this ever happened the crazed cannibals making their way from London wouldn't reach my house for a while and gave me just enough time to run the other direction.
seriously though i think Danny Boyle did an amazing job on this film i mean when i seen this film it changed how everything could go downhill so fast and that left me quite shocked in just 28 days a whole country could be tore apart from the inside out so mercilessly quite scary to be honest.
there has been a lot of discussion whether doghouse is a zombie film but personally it is the only difference is that the virus only effects women and turns them into craze man-hating cannibals which to be honest is pretty scary because women out number men in amazing numbers *fingers crossed this never happens* also i think Jake west did a good job on his cast for this British horror/comedy it amazed me to see old school Brits mixed up with the mental new school Brits all together to kick some ass in a fashionable way.
finally we're at number one and i sorry if some of you disagree but lately this film is my all time favorite zombie film with its mixed genre formality also woody harrelson's awesome catchphrase "nut up or shut up" which to be fair left me in stitches right up to the end of this blockbuster.
this film surprised me in so many ways to be able to a 12 year old girl handle a gun like a 50 year old war veteran amazed me but most more than anything to see Jesse eisenberg handle a gun just played with my mind and to think him and woody harrelson could some day be good friends left me speechless yet scared in so many ways but last but not least Emma stone acting like a cold heartless dame intrigued me but to be honest it did show how much of a smoking hot killer she could be*wolf whistle*
