HOW FAR WOULD YOU GO TO SURVIVE?

THAT’S THE QUESTION AT THE HEART OF THE UPCOMING FEATURE FILM “SURVIVORS” FROM INITIATIVE MOTION PICTURES AND ORGANISED CHAOS TV AND FILM.

PRODUCED BY AWARD-WINNING FILMMAKER MICHAEL BEDDOES AND DIRECTED BY ADAM J SPINKS (THE EXPEDITION), THESE AWESOME NEW SHOTS GIVE US OUR FIRST LOOK AT THE CHARACTERS AND THE WORLD OF THE MOVIE!

Synopsis:

In 2014, the dead will rise and the infection will spread in Initiative Motion Pictures and Organised Chaos TV and Films’ “Survivors”. From director Adam J Spinks (“The Expedition” “All In The Method”) and Producer Michael Beddoes (“The Third One This Week”, “Lolotte”) comes a remarkable, ambitious story about the depth of human courage in the face of an unstoppable enemy…

When a biotechnology facility, Medea Corporation, began advertising for volunteers to take part in a series of pioneering medical experiments, nobody could have predicted it would end this way. A stirring and thought provoking drama, Survivors is the story of three people caught up in the disruption and destruction as the facility lost control. It’s experiments turned loose after a series of damaging leaks from inside.

Kate Meadows (Joanne Gale) is as tenacious as she is naive. A filmmaker with enough evidence in her camera tapes to bring the facility to it’s knees in front of the worlds media, she finds herself trapped in the tightening net of the infected zone with her cameraman Duke (Simon Burbage). Together they bear witness as the armed forces go head to head with the infected in a futile attempt to regain control. Borders are sealed, weapons are loaded and anybody left on the inside is being sacrificed.Paul Simmonds (David Anderson), on the other hand, finds himself tasked with entering this infected zone at the request of his employers, the Medea Corporation. He’s been sent with a mission… to find Kate and Duke and make sure neither are heard from again.

“Survivors” stars Joanne Gale (Red Dwarf X, Run Fatboy Run) Simon Burbage (Pulp: The Movie, Hollyoaks, The Expedition), Adrian Annis (Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Art Of Darkness) alongside David Anderson and Lydia Kay (Christmas Slay)

“We wanted to take a genre movie and really push the boundaries of that kind of storytelling”, says Director, Adam J Spinks “We’re so used to seeing certain things as an audience and that can get a little bitpredictable… with this we wanted to throw away the rulebook, shake things up a little bit”

“Survivors explores the lengths we might go to save the ones we love or, conversely, to save ourselves at their expense… it’s an interesting focus”

The film is slated for release in 2014.
