In Steven Spielberg's Extant, Halle Berry stars as a female astronaut who attempts to reconnect with her family after a year in outer space. However, her experience leads to events that "ultimately will change the course of human history".

The script for the upcoming CBS show comes from newcomer Mickey Fisher, an unknown writer who, until recently, was unsigned. Apparently, everyone is mad for Fisher's sci-fi script, which is supposedly like "A.I. as a TV series"... So, some guy writes a pilot script. It turns everyone crazy. Now he has interest from movie studios. Television networks. And Steven freakin' Spielberg.

Well, the proof is in the pudding. Check out Extant's latest clip and see if you'll be checking it out when it arrives on our small screens on July 9.

Earth, an eyeball, a heart beating, a fetus. What the heck happened to you in space, Halle Berry?

Will Extant prove to be gripping TV?
