I wasn't a very big fan of the first See No Evil, which was released eight years ago already. Sure, there were some cool stylized kills, but that was about all the movie did that was successful to me. However, knowing that the sequel is in Jen and Sylvia Soska's (American Mary) hands, I am actually getting a bit excited to see it!

After months of having to wait patiently, we're finally given the synopsis:

Jacob Goodnight (WWE superstar “Kane”) fell to his apparent demise from high atop the Blackwell Hotel in See No Evil, and this terrifying sequel picks up where the last one left off. With Jacob's body lying on a cold sub-basement slab in the city morgue, Amy (Danielle Harris), a mortician, is surprised when a group of friends pay her a late-night visit for her birthday. But the surprise soon turns deadly when the psychopath everyone believed to be dead sets-out on a horrific killing spree, and Amy and her friends must do whatever it takes to survive.

The cast is pretty solid too!

Greyston Holt ("Bitten," Lost Boys: The Tribe), Chelan Simmons (Tucker & Dale vs. Evil), Kaj Eriksen (Ice Twisters), and Lee Majdoub (Soldiers of the Apocalypse) star alongside Danielle Harris (the Halloween franchise), Katharine Isabelle (American Mary, Ginger Snaps, Freddy vs. Jason), and Michael Eklund (The Call, The Marine 3: Homefront, The Day) in the Soska Sisters-helmed See No Evil 2 starring WWE Superstar KANE®.

It has also been announced that the release date is in the fall, although specific date hasn't been given. However, you'll be able to enjoy it from the comfort of your home with the lights dimmed, because it's skipping theaters and jumping right onto VOD, DVD, Blu-ray and Digital HD roll-out. The WWE will be using it's "extensive global reach" to market the film through social media, television and digital outlets, while Lionsgate handles the worldwide distribution.

Are you ready to see Jacob Goodnight back on screen? I think he's ready for you!
