Mark Ruffalo has been in movie news for the past couple days spilling all kinds of juice on the rumor table. First he spoke on the possibility of a Hulk solo film. Then he goes on to debunk rumors of a Planet Hulk story line, but could there be a little more truth to the rumor? Things could get interesting.

With the dismissal of a Planet Hulk film, Hitfix's Drew McWeeny has come forward to reveal what will happen to the green guy at the end of [The Avengers: Age Of Ultron](movie:293035). After visiting the London set, he says he has insight of what will happen at the end of Age of Ultron. He also goes on to speculate what Marvel has in store for the Hulk before Avengers 3. Fans of the Planet Hulk story line will be pleased if this is true.

[Spoiler Ahead!]

According to McWeeny:

"Bruce Banner continues to play a key role in things in [Avengers: Age of Ultron], and when the final war with Ultron spills onto the battlefield and out of the virtual realm, he has a major part to play. Unfortunately, that ends with him onboard a Quinjet on his way off the planet, with no way to immediately turn things around. He's going to have to ride out the trip. It's pre-programmed and he can't stop it."

If the Quinjet is on a piloted preset course to deeper out of space, where could it be heading? Possibly into Guardians of The Galaxy's airspace? Well that is what he is speculating:

Here's where I'd wager his spaceship is headed: wherever the Guardians of the Galaxy are located.[...] I suspect we'll see some sequences that very much feel like they're part of Planet Hulk story," McWeeny continues, "but the larger story will be about the Guardians finding a way to get Banner home, only to end up going with them.

This would tie in a certain big bad purple guy...

Thanos!
Thanos!

If the Guardians make their way to earth with The Hulk, it will connect the pieces of the puzzle for Thanos to have more involvement with the Earth. If this is Marvel's plan for the Hulk, you can count me in. You know they are always switching things up, and they piece stories and arcs together quite well. If they are tweaking the Planet Hulk story in this fashion, then it is very plausible and makes more sense.
