Yes. Yes that would be a photograph of fantasy novelist Terry Pratchett dressed up as a fictional mischievous schoolboy from Just William. Don't be scared. Everyone likes to play dress up from time to time, including your favorite authors...

As part of an exhibit at The Story Museum in Oxford, UK, 26 different authors have dressed up as their favorite childhood characters. Neil Gaiman (The Ocean at the End of the Lane) chose Badger from Wind in the Willows, Philip Pullman (His Dark Materials) cosplayed himself into Long John Silver from Treasure Island, and Holly Smale (Geek Girl) transformed into the White Queen from The Chronicles of Narnia.

Take a look at this lot and decide if it's totally adorkable or just downright odd...
