There are two kinds of people in this world. Those that adore 1993 Disney film Hocus Pocus and those that don't. If you are in the latter camp and try to talk to me, you get this face:
Directed by Kenny Ortega and starring Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker, and Kathy Najimy, Hocus Pocus is a Halloween staple for a generation of horror loving ladies (and lads) who always dreamed of being a witch long before it was cool. Previously, if we wanted more of the Sanderson story, we just had to hit rewind and start the movie over once the credits rolled. But now, thanks to Tina Fey (BLESS HER!), it looks like we shall be treated to even more witchy goodness!
According to Empire Online, Fey is planning on producing and starring, along side Melissa McCarthy... which is just an assload of genius casting all around. The Tracking Board claims that the story will be as follows:
The sequel will pick up years after the original, focusing on a housewife who is related to the Sanderson sisters, who teams up with a witch hunter to save her children after they run afoul of some resurrected witches while out trick-or-treating.
Honestly, I don't really care what the story is. I just want some cameos from the original cast and a ton of deliciously twisted humor! (Omri Katz... Can you hear me? I KNOW YOU'RE OUT THERE!).
