I don't mean to shock you, but it appears that Lindsay Lohan might have actually been telling the truth for once when she said she was hitting the theater circuit in the UK.
Lohan is all lined to up to star in a revival of the David Mamet play Speed-The-Plow, which is no surprised because anything with both the words 'speed' and 'plow' in the title is sure to appeal to Lilo.
Playbill says that LiLo’s take the stage at The Playhouse Theater in London from September 24th to November 29th. Lindsay Posner will direct (the poor, poor woman) and no other casting has been announced yet. Probably because all of the other actors have gone into hiding to avoid getting stuck in this inevitable whirlwind of Linsanity.
The producers have released this official synopsis for the play;
When a hugely bankable star agrees to appear in a sure-fire commercial hit, film producers Bobby Gould and Charlie Fox are convinced this is the break of a lifetime. That is until Karen (played by Lindsay Lohan), a temporary secretary, derails the dream. When she persuades Bobby to dump the blockbuster in favour of a story which can only be described as box-office poison, Charlie is forced to resort to desperate measures….
Seeing as Lohan couldn't even make it to the filming of her own reality TV show, I don't have high hopes for the troubled starlets new adventure.
If you want to see a lot of Lohan's understudy however, then I suggest you buy tickets immediately!
Would you go to see Lindsay Lohan on the stage?
