Today is July 4th, which of course is celebrated in the US as 'Independence Day'. In my homeland of Britain we simply call it, 'Just Another Normal Day Where Nothing Historically Significant Happened, So Let's All Just Carry On Pretending Everything's Fine Day'.

In any case, it looks like 20th Century Fox are eager to jump on the patriotic bandwagon as they've just released a special July 4th TV spot featuring the voice of none other than John F. Kennedy. It actually creates quite a haunting scene.

Dawn of the Planet of the Apes certainly seems like a summer blockbuster which is going to cross the Venn diagram of cinematic demographics. Critics are currently lauding the film for its emotional and visual story, while chimps riding horses and dual-wielding M249 machine-guns will appeal to the more action-orientated crowd.

Currently, Dawn of the Planet of the Apes is expected to release on July 11.

Will you be there?

Will you bee sing Dawn of the Planet of the Apes on opening weekend?
