This film is another favourite of mine. I really enjoy watching this film again and again and I really love the actors who are in the film.
We have David Mills (Brad Pitt) and William Somerset (Morgan Freeman) and our favourite villain John Doe (Kevin Spacey). So David and William are two detectives David has just just been transferred while William is soon to retire. They soon get involved in a case about a psychotic serial killer John Doe. Who murders people by following the Seven Deadly Sins, gluttony, greed, sloth, wrath, pride, lust and envy.
This film is very well written, very engaging and Kevin Spacey plays the villain so well, he's like an ultimate villain in crime/thriller history! When you come across the murders you'll notice he's left clues as to what each murder was about and which sin it is. He's a psycho but a very clever psycho, your trying to hate him but then the way he speaks and the way he gives a reason for everything, makes you want to hear him out and try and understand his way of thinking, even though what he's doing is wrong.
John: Wanting people to listen, you can't just tap them on the shoulder anymore. You have to hit them with a sledgehammer, and then you'll notice you've got their strict attention.
William: Ernest Hemingway once wrote, "The world is a fine place and worth fighting for." I agree with the second part.
I highly recommend this film a watch if you haven't done so already. It's a great crime/thriller film to watch with friends and family.
