There are few more iconic figures in comic-dom than Wonder Woman - and few more significant female role models in an industry dominated by large chested Uber-men.
That's why the upcoming appearance of Wonder Woman in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice is so important - and so risky. To many, she's represents strength, justice, equality and female empowerment. To others, she's a sex symbol. Combining these two strands together successfully is one of the biggest challenges that Zack Snyder, Gal Gadot and the Bats v Supes team have ahead of them.
Especially when it comes to the costume.
With Comic-Con just around the corner, we should get our first proper look at Wonder Woman very soon indeed - but in the meantime, fans around the world have been developing their own ideas - and what they've come up with has very much laid down the gauntlet for Warner Brothers. One design in particular recently caught our eye:
Created by David Paget, it perfectly captures both Wonder Woman's Amazonian heritage, and a sense of being fully capable of beating the tar out of all comers.
The only potential problem? Would Warner Brothers go for as militaristic - and (relatively speaking) un-sexy - look as Paget's?
We thought we'd take a look at some of the other incredible fan designs for Wonder Woman (and a few of the strangest) to see what other options they have out there:
via Dan Mora
via Marco D. Carillo
via Kathryn Mann
via Andrew Runion
Which would all, in this writer's opinion, make for a pretty epic Wonder Woman (even if one or two of them are a bit on the emaciated side). What about a few designs we're...less likely to see on screen, though?

The likelihood is, of course, that the final version will be completely different to all of these (probably more different from some than others, admittedly). Until the official costume is announced though, we can still dream...
