Kristen Stewart's poetry might have made us wince, but James Franco is truly festering at the bottom of the class.

The wannabe intellectual actor has released an anthology of poems entitled Directing Herbert White and it makes his directorial debut 'Dicknose in Paris' look like a cinematic masterpiece in comparison.

Everything Franco does is so deeply cloaked in the protection of irony and "persona" that it's hard to know whether he is the lord of the trolls, or just thinks he's much cleverer than he actually is. But, one thing's for sure - these poems are hard to forgive.

But, enough of my own judgement, why don't you read a couple for yourself and make your own opinion?

Ledger

There had been a time
When we were up for the same roles,
10 Things I Hate about You
(Based on The Taming of the Shrew),
And The Patriot –
Funny, you were Australian and so was Mel –
You were the knight in A Knight's Tale...

And, if you are serious masochist, I present to you this beautiful delusional rambling. If you ever fancied listening to Franco pretending to be River Phoenix while comparing himself to Jesus, this extract is for you!

River

Hello, James, it's River
I died at age 23
Ten years before your age now
James, you're the Jesus age

May I just point out that, James Franco is now 36-years-old. He has been working on this verbal diarrhoea for years!

I just can't even.
