Arrow's lead actor Stephen Amell has been voicing his desire to have his cousin, actor Robbie Amell on the show for quite awhile. Though Robbie still won't be starring on Arrow (for now), it seems as though Stephen's campaign finally paid off, as Robbie is now set to play Ronnie Raymond, a recurring character known in the comics by his super-powered alter ego Firestorm in the new Arrow spin-off: The Flash.

Raymond is said to be a S.T.A.R. Labs maintenance worker and Dr. Caitlin Snow’s fiancé, who played an integral part in the particle accelerator accident that transformed Barry Allen into The Flash. This is a slight deviation from his comic book counterpart, but we'll see how this plays out in the fall.

After seeing the pilot episode, we were lead to believe that Dr. Snow's fiancé was dead after the events of the insane particle accelerator accident. Could some of his powers have suggested a false death to come in a future episode's flashback?

Non-Spoiler Talk:

In the comics, Firestorm's enemies included Multiplex, a Tron-looking villain, and Killer Frost, who was featured in the hit video game Injustice: Gods Among Us along with DC's other greatest heroes and villains of all time. Could we see either of these villains in guest appearances, or dare I say in the recurring cast? My fingers are definitely crossed!

Spoiler Talk:

Caitlin Snow is Killer Frost, which is a bit weird considering Firestorm's fiance will now be his worst enemy. I guess that means they're exes now. That's definitely a plot twist for you!

The Flash's first episode hits TV screens worldwide on October 7th, 2014.
