(UPDATED:Geoff Johns long time DC comics scribe confirmed yesterday that the DC Cinematic universe and the DC TV universe will NOT collide!!)
With the recent announcements of The Flash TV show adding Firestorm (Robbie Amell) and the already hit TV show (and character) Arrow introducing The Atom (Brandon Raouth). We are all left to ponder the question......"Will TV cross over with Movies?!" Now how awesome would that be! You can have an instant Justice League team ready to assemble in just a few short years! I can just see all you nerds busting a big smile right about now.
Now I don't know what the difference is (if any) on how DC has to handle multiple properties. To me it looks like they have the best of both entertainment worlds by having all characters of the DC universe available to them "in-house". With the recent move of DC Comics main offices from NY to LA now seems to make a whole lot more sense.
As you are reading this at this very moment the filming of Batman vs. Superman - Dawn Of Justice (that is still one mouth full) has already began! Jessie Eisenberg (Lex Luthor), Jason Momoa (Aquaman) and Ray Fisher (Cyborg) have been cast for their respective roles. There have been rumors running abound that have leaked information of Israeli actress and model Gal Gadot (Wonder Woman) having already FINISHED filming her part of the film.
Another rampant rumor is Ben Affleck (Batman) and Henry Cavill (Superman) have already shot a scene together. If true this would surely mean that Wonder Woman's role is coming down to a cameo appearance and any shots of the Dark Knight vs. the Man Of Steel will be used in some way for a trailer.
No matter if it's all rumors or truth. All of us comic nerds have been waiting our individual lifetimes for this moment to arrive. We might be on the brink of seeing the birth of one of comics books greatest superhero teams come to life on the big screen. The Justice League of America!!!
