Just as his film "The Martial Arts Kid" was wrapping during the last weekend of June, producer James Wilson received an honor for his work on it.

Wilson received an award from The Legends Of The Martial Arts Hall Of Fame during their annual awards dinner, which is held in Split Rock Resort in Lake Harmony, Pennsylvania every year.

The award was for Wilson's "contribution" to the martial arts in the past year with the making and filming of "The Martial Arts Kid", which is felt by many to put martial arts in a positive light and, led by co-headliners Cynthia Rothrock and Don "The Dragon" Wilson, features what some are saying is a cast with the most legitimate martial artists seen in a film in decades.

Martial artists in the cast include: Don Wilson, Rothrock, Bill "Superfoot" Wallace, TJ Storm, Matthew Ziff, JJ "Golden Dragon" McParland, Nassim "Young Dragon" Lahrizi, Tara Cardinal, Inga Van Ardenn, Hamid Lahrizi, Cheryl Wheeler-Duncan, Christine Bannon-Rodrigues, Carl Van Meter, Olando Rivera, Gerry Blanck, Jeff Smith, Alan Goldberg and Eric Kovaleski.

Kovaleski is a 7th Dan in Tang Soo Do and the President of the Legends Of The Martial Arts Hall Of Fame.

Wheeler-Duncan is also a producer on the film.

"The Martial Arts Kid" is scheduled to hit theaters in 2015.
