*Creak, Creak, Creak* That is the sound of the Rumor Wheel turning once more. It seems to be never-ending when it comes to Zack Snyder's new film Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice. "Aight Shaun, what's this new rumor?" you might ask. Well, it isn't really new so-to-speak, however it is more along the lines of a resurface. Bleeding Cool is the source of this rumor and if there is some truth to it, then it could go one of 2 ways. Disastrous or Glorious. You can take it with a decent grain of salt, but according to them, Doomsday is set to make an appearance in Dawn of Justice.

Bleeding Cool sources who have been rather reliable in the past have told us that they have seen Batman V Superman designs for the character of Doomsday.

If you aren't familiar with who Doomsday is, he is the one responsible for the death of Superman.

Originally known as "The Ultimate", Doomsday was born in prehistoric times on Krypton, long before the humanoid Kryptonian race gained dominance over the planet about 250,000 years ago. It was a violent, hellish world where only the absolute strongest of creatures could survive. In a cruel experiment involving evolution, intended to create the perfect living being, the alien scientist Bertron released a humanoid infant (born in vitro in a lab) onto the surface of the planet, where he was promptly killed by the harsh environment. The baby's remains were collected and used to clone a stronger version. This process was repeated over and over for decades as a form of accelerated natural evolution. The agony of these repeated deaths was recorded in his genes, driving the creature to hate all life. - Wiki

As a result, Doomsday cannot be killed the same way twice. He is the ultimate foe against the Man of Steel. Nothing is set in black or white, but do you remember the behind the scenes photos released last month? There could be more to it than just another sad day in Metropolis...

Notice in the above photo, the extras are seen holding lit candles as well as placing flowers at what appears to be the remains of the 15-foot statue - now reduced to rubble.

This statue was built in honor to the Man of Steel, and is to commemorate his "achievements".

The main antagonist in the film is Lex Luthor, being played by Jesse Eisenberg, but could there possibly be room for Doomsday? Maybe he was un-earthed and is being kept at the new Lexcorp?

How would they incorporate this character in the film?

It is a stretch however, but it could also be possible that he is being set up for the new Justice League film? It would make more sense. Maybe as a post credit scene. Or, this rumor is in fact true, and he IS set to be in the film that is already teaming with characters. They could have the first battle where Superman comes out on top with Batman's help. Round 2 would be in a future film. However you want to take this news as, it does keep the focus on Batman v. Superman.

I Can't wait for ComicCon 2014!
