Another day, another Neil Gaiman adaptation find its way to the screen! John Cameron Mitchell (Hedwig and the Angry Inch, Shortbus) is attached to direct the film version of Gaiman's Hugo Award nominated short, How to Talk to Girls at Parties. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Elle Fanning (Super 8, Maleficent) has signed on to play the female lead in the science fiction/teen romance.

How to Talk to Girls follows the exploits of a shy young man and his interactions with a girl who is a foreign exchange student... a VERY foreign exchange student. With the ever so talented Fanning on board, and John Cameron Mitchell at the helm, this looks to be a promising adaptation of a wonderful Gaiman story!
