Sorry I just had to do the theme song. Another favourite Spielberg film of mine. The story takes us to Amity Island where after a party a girl decides to go swimming. She gets grabbed from beneath the water and gets pulled under. The girl gets reported missing and was then later found on the beach by the town's local police chief Martin Brody (Roy Scheider). A medical examiner informs them that the girl had an accident on a boat. Brody decided that he wants to shut down the beach as it's too dangerous but the Mayor won't let him because if he does the people would be too scared to get back into the water and the small town won't make enough money for the summer. Another incident happens, leading them to meet Matt Hooper ( Richard Dreyfuss) a marine biologist who studies the girls body and explains that this was no boat accident this was a Great White shark.
See the film's opening scene below and follow to the next scene; you'll be hooked.
A great thriller and an interesting film to watch. However, I only like the first one and you could get away with the second one too but they have made this movie into three films, however, other adaptations were made alongside. But the first of the trilogy was excellent and I highly recommend you hurry up and watch this to complete your summer.
