Ok I'm just gonna say it, while Frozen may be the most popular Disney movie right now (I think Beauty and the Beast was better but I digress) there are some issues I have to address. Specifically is the fact that the "love experts" that Kristof knows try to make the hero of the movie cheat on her fiance.

About an hour and ten minutes into the movie Kristof brings Anna to the trolls to have them help her after Elsa freezes her heart. Before he can explain the situation the trolls assume that he brought her home to meet the family. While there is obviously chemistry Anna is still engaged to Prince Hans (of the Southern Isles) This leads to the musical number "Fixer Upper".

During the song Kristof finally gets the trolls to listen long enough to tell them that Anna is engaged to some one else. The response?

Cliff: So she's a bit of a fixer-upper,

Male Troll 4: That's a minor thing.

Male Troll 5: Her quote 'engagement' is a flex arrangement.

Troll Child: And by the way I don't see no ring!

Now I understand that Prince Hans is the bad guy but audiences don't know that yet. So why then are these lyrics here? I think it is an indication of where we are as a society. Who cares about commitment when an engagement is a "Flexible arrangement"?

If this is the message kids are hearing from Disney, are we sure we want our kids hearing it? What do you think? Comment below!
