It's hard to believe that the Ninja Turtles have been around for almost 30 years now. There's definitely been plenty of ups and downs in the TMNT franchise over the years. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 3, the third live-action film that came out in the early 90s was particularly bad. While on the other hand the 2007 CGI film was pretty good.

And now it looks like it's time for us to finally get another live-action film in Michael Bay's [Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles](movie:323027) starring Will Arnett and Megan Fox.

The new and explosive TMNT will be hitting theaters August 8, 2014.

Personally I am a humongous Ninja Turtle fan and have been waiting years for this. I'm in my late 20s, so I'm happy to say that I've been around and coherent for most of the best and worst moments of our humungous pet turtles. And now, thanks to Nickelodeon, there are legions of new young fans. But they have no idea how massive the history of the Ninja Turtles really is. Despite my best efforts I have been unable to educate all of them in Turtleology. Luckily however, thanks to this great new documentary: I don't have to.

The documentary Turtle Power: The Definitive History of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles comes out August 12th. Check out the trailer below. So if you're a Ninja Turtle fan start getting excited, because this August you're going to get a shell-full!
