Maddex is a little boy who has suffered more in his five years than any person should in a lifetime.
After a year of grueling cancer treatments Maddex was asked to make a wish by the amazing Make-A-Wish foundation, his answer was instant: 'I want to be Godzilla.'
Throughout his horrible ordeal with cancer, Godzilla had become an unlikely source of comfort to Maddex - so it was natural that his wish would be to star as Godzilla in his own movie.
What a kick-ass dream!
With the help of Chicago's film community, Madzilla was born.
Maddex's parents were worried that the filming process might exhaust their fragile boy but amazingly it had the opposite effect.
'It was definitely the happiest we've ever seen him' said his father, Tony.
My favorite part of this whole story is that it has only been made possible due to kind-hearted Chicago locals who heard about this brave boy and his unique dream and wanted to help in some small way.
Without the huge generosity of people donating time and equipment the project may have cost an impossible $1 million.
I know I'm giving all the volunteers a virtual high five.
Share if you think the volunteers on the Madzilla film project are AWESOME!
