There's a lot of talk about The Slender Man online at the moment. I've been personally pretty creeped out by looking into the Mythology and Urban Legends behind The Slender Man - but what about 'Real Life' evidence?

Sure, campfire stories are fun to listen to, but actual artifacts, paintings...and even photo and video evidence are more solid proof, right?

With both a healthy dose of cynicism AND a desire to be creeped out, this is what I found...

Painting: The Three Ages Of Woman And Death

What's Happening?: Hans Baldung Grien painted this picture in 1510. It was then subjected to X-Ray analysis after it was stolen, then recovered, in 2003. This revealed extra Slender Man-like limbs on the emaciated figure of death.

What's happening?: A group of people are relaxing outdoors - in broad daylight - when a tall, slender figure is lurking in the background.

What's happening?: A camera set on night vision - probably to capture a deer at night - sees an unexplainable shadow glide past. This happens around the 30-second mark.

What's Happening?: A tall figure with tentacles extending from his - already quite long - arms appears to be frightening a group of people in an ancient cave painting.

This doctored image of a cave painting - originating in Altamira, Spain from over 10,000 years ago - was successful online for a while. The unaltered version of the painting is below.
