Yesterday Entertainment Weekly released some new pictures from one of 2015's most anticipated movies - [The Avengers: Age Of Ultron](movie:293035)!
Here we see all the new uniforms for the super team, each outfit looks slightly different than last time. The most notable difference on any of the costumes is the "Avengers" style A on Captain America's shoulder, looks like something right out of the comic book.
Here we see the heroes taking a break from battling evil and chilling in Avengers Tower. We see Mjolnir on the table and also Don Cheadle as James "Rhodey" Rhodes, hopefully we'll see him suit up as War Machine/Iron Patriot.
Hawkeye sprints through the forest, probably from Ultron's evil minions!
Black Widow's got some new tech on her wrists, lets hope they help her fight Ultron!
The Science Bros are back! Tony and Bruce look slightly concerned about something in their lab, perhaps this is the creation of Ultron?
[Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch](movie:1081109) look tired and looks like they've caused a bit of a mess!
Director Joss Whedon directing Elizabeth Olsen (Scarlet Witch) on set!
Our first official look at the titular villain of the film, Ultron! We see Iron Man and Captain America have some cool new costumes! Ultron is sporting some mean red eyes while his minions all have blue, probably so our heroes don't get confused on which one is the worst.
At the start of the film, Ultron begins as one of Tony's robotic soldiers that he built to protect Earth. Ultron was supposed to take the helm since Tony had given up on being Iron Man as we saw at the end of Iron Man 3. Ultron serves as a surrogate son to Stark in terms of his personality.
You're probably wondering why Ultron is the bad guy if he was built by Tony right? Maybe this line of dialogue from the robotic villain himself will inform you.
In the movie, Ultron says:
I know you're 'good' people. I know you mean well....but you just didn't think it through....there is only one path to peace...your extermination.
Personally these pictures and that line of dialogue get me even more stoked for the movies release! It looks like the perfect sequel! This movie is going to be bigger, badder and even more fun!
What jumps out at me the most is the line of dialogue from Ultron. He thinks that by taking out humanity, he is creating world wide peace. In an earlier draft of the first Avengers film, J.A.R.V.I.S (Tony's A.I companion) tells Tony that humanity is part of the problem on Earth and maybe this war wouldn't have happened if humans didn't exist (I'm paraphrasing). This backs up our earlier predictions that JARVIS is the one that will evolve into Ultron. James Spader is voicing the villain and if you know of James Spader, you know he is the perfect choice for the voice of Ultron, he has one of the most intimidating, empowering voices in all of Hollywood. Even in the TV show The Office, Spader had an intimidating presence.
I am really happy with these reveals and can't wait to hear more from Comic Con (which is coming soon!). How do you guys feel about these reveals?
