Jason Isaacs has been announced as the voice of the inquisitor in the upcoming [Star Wars Rebels](series:965946). He will be playing the character of the inquisitor, a calm, menacing hunter of members of the rebel alliance.

Star Wars being famous for casting the bad guys as British can't go very far wrong with Isaacs who is no stranger to playing a Brit bad guy. Perhaps his most famous bad Brit was as Lucious Malfoy in Harry Potter.

Pablo Hidalgo of Lucasfilm's Story Groups spoke in a recent interview on the Inquisitor:

He’s cold, he’s analytical, he doesn’t get angry... We all took care to make sure our villains have real presence and our heroes just can’t walk all over him. This isn’t like cartoons I grew up with in the 80s where you’d have the villain lose every week and yet every week we’d have to believe he’s some sort of threat. When The Inquisitor shows up, it means something significant and it’s a definite challenge for our heroes.

Star Wars Rebels is an animated series that will bridge the gap between Episode III and Episode IV.

The show launches this Fall, will you be tuning in?
