Today, we got word of some absolutely amazing news about two of our favorite DC heroes' shows. Both Arrow and The Flash will premiere on October 7th, with Arrow going into Season 3 while The Flash will start its very first season. After seeing the leaked pilot episode of The Flash, no other TV show will excite me more. That is, except maybe when the TV show crosses over with Arrow.
According to TV Guide, Andrew Kreisberg has told them some very interesting information on the quickly approaching futures of the two shows, including the details of the two shows crossing over this fall!
Episodes 8 of both shows, Arrow and Flash, are going to be a two-hour crossover event [...] In Episode 4, Felicity [Emily Bett Rickards] is going to come to The Flash.
Wow, so now we have official confirmation of a full on crossover in the TV Cinematic Universe of DC! Now, if we can just secure them a crossover into the major motion picture side of DC. With both shows premiering this year on October 7th this year, if they continuously release one episode a week, we could expect to see the two-hour special on November 25th this year! That's two days before Thanksgiving!
However, with mid-season breaks and finales, as well as double premieres airing multiple episodes in one night, this date could shift around quite a bit. Still, put a pin in your calendars, because this episode surely won't disappoint!
News has also broke that there will be no Batman or Superman in the TV Universe, which may or may not mean that the TV to film crossover is still on the table:
You'll see a lot of DC universe characters [on The Flash and Arrow]. You won't see Batman or Superman. We're on production on Batman V Superman now. So you'll see characters like The Atom or Firestorm, but no not Batman or Superman right now [on TV].
The Flash & Arrow premiere this fall on CW on October 7th, 2014.
