Good News, Everyone! Futurama is back - and this time, it's not going to get cancelled.

Admittedly, that's because it's only going to be returning for a special crossover episode of The Simpsons, but let's not get bogged down in the sadness - it's coming back!

The episode, which was first revealed way back at last year's San Diego Comic-Con, has now been confirmed to be appearing this November - with the full voice cast returning.

Plot details remain thin on the ground, though last year Simpsons executive producer Al Jean revealed a little about the plot:

"Bender has to come back from the future to kill Bart because there's something that Bart does now that makes the future really, really, really bad"

Whether that remains true is yet to be seen - and it certainly suggests a Treehouse of Horror appearance rather than a mainstream Simpsons storyline - but hey: who minds?

Futurama is coming back!

Cue obligatory Fry meme:

[The Simpsons](series:200695) returns this September - with the Futurama crossover episode set for sometime in November.
