Sometimes a trailer can make a movie. In two and a half minutes, a few brief extracts from the main film can encourage millions of us to go and see something we previously didn't know existed.

That, at least, is the dream.

Sometimes, though, trailers have a different aim. Sometimes, they want to skewer, and to scupper, and to completely and utterly rip into.

Cue Screen Junkies, and their latest 'Honest Trailer'. Next in their (admittedly hilarious) crosshairs? Everyone's favorite Shailene Woodley-starring dystopian action adventure: Divergent.

Fair warning - they don't go easy on it...

Which is all well and good and all - though you could argue the story owes a whole lot more to Lois Lowry's The Giver than to the Hunger Games series - but it's a little on the harsh side, no?

After all, the main similarity between The Hunger Games and Divergent is that they're both a whole lot more intelligent and complex than a lot of stuff out there - which is precisely why they're so widely loved.

[Divergent](movie:593270) is available on Digital HD now, and will be released on DVD/Blu Ray August 5, 2014.
