Above you can see the very first official image for Marvel Studios' quickly approaching superhero solo film [Ant-Man](movie:9048), starring Paul Rudd as Scott Lang and Michael Douglas as Henry "Hank" Pym as seen on the poster.

The illustration is a piece of pre-production concept art specifically made for San Diego Comic-Con, which kicks off Wednesday night. So expect to see the movie heavily showcased on Saturday in Marvel’s always bombastic presentation.

New Ant-Man director Peyton Reed has been diligently working towards the preparation the filming and production sequence of the movie, which begins in August at Pinewood Studios in Atlanta, Georgia before the ever-approaching release date of next summer on July 17th, 2015, which is barely over two months after the release of Avengers: Age of Ultron.

In the full image below (created by Andy Park from Marvel’s in-house visual development department), we get a look at the suit in action, the two leading men in profile, and a nice close-up of our hero riding bareback on a winged ant.

LOOK! Ant-Man is as tall as skyscrapers! I've been telling people they were going to use his super-growth powers as well as his shrinking ability! Giant-Man is confirmed! Gi-Ant-Man, get it? Could the two Ant-Mans in the poster mean that both of them will be Ant-Man at the same time?

It looks like Ant-Man will be utilizing his ant-communication and control abilities after all! Is this a good decision by Marvel Studios? Can they pull off the rather odd idea of an ant army on film without being absolutely corny beyond belief? I have complete faith in Marvel's vision for the movie! What about you! Let us know what you think about the poster!
