[X-Men: Days Of Future Past](movie:203942) comes to DVD and Blu-Ray this fall, and Twentieth Century Fox have just released the list of extras we'll be seeing, but without any mention of an extended or directors cut!
The list includes some things that we have already seen, such as a "making of" special for that Quicksilver scene, as well as the theatrical trailers. Quicksilver stole the show, and I just know that the "Kitchen Sequence" extra is going to be an absolute fan favorite!
The feature that I am most excited about, however, is part of the "deleted scenes". It's no secret that Rogue was in the original movie for much longer than her brief cameo at the end, and so we will finally get to see the part that she played in the rest of the story.
I'm a little torn about this, to be perfectly honest. Rogue is most definitely my favorite X-Man, so I want to see more of her. At the same time, I am hugely unimpressed with how she has been written so far, and was actually happy that she was barely in the movie. It allowed me to enjoy it without nerd-rage over the character.
We'll also be seeing a Gag Reel, Double Take: Xavier & Magneto, X-Men: Reunited, Classifictation: M, Sentinels: For a Secure Future, and finally Gallery: Trask Industries.
Packing a release with extras is not uncommon, and I'm definitely looking forward to these, but I am also hoping that another Director/Extended cut will be coming out at a later date. One was mentioned earlier this year, so the assumption is that either it will simply have an entirely separate release, or perhaps that a Director's edition is being held off on until the legal issues surrounding Bryan Singer are dealt with.
Either way, come October, you'll find me glued to the TV watching every special feature, and probably re-watching that kitchen scene at least five times.
