Mad Max: Fury Road has been lingering on our minds for a while; it sends us reminiscing as far back as the days when Mel Gibson was flitting around on a massive motorbike trying his best to look cool amidst the breakdown of society (glad he had his priorities straight).
Now, the new teaser poster for George Miller's upcoming sequel has surfaced - and what a lovely day for it, too:
It's unwise to make predictions based on a single image, but it's interesting to notice that perhaps you can see a hint of the original plan for Mad Max 4. First conceived as an animated 3D film to be co-written and co-designed by cartoonist Brendan McCarthy, who's known for his long run on Judge Dredd in the anthology comic 2000AD, this one-sheet is definitely reminiscent of the kind of post-civilized militarism you see dripping from the pages of that book. As McCarthy is still credited as co-writer of the live-action Fury Road script, I look forward to seeing how much of his vision makes it into the finished flick...
