Sad news for Stan Lee, who has become a fixture at San Diego Comic-Con every year, and his fans. According to reports, the 92-year-old geek icon had to drop out out of appearing due to health reasons, according to his spokesperson:
Unfortunately Stan Lee has lost his voice due to laryngitis and is unable to attend this year’s San Diego Comic-Con, and has regrettably had to cancel his appearances. Stan is otherwise well and in good health, though he is disappointed to miss the event and wishes everyone a great time.
The co-creator of Spider-Man, Hulk, Avengers and X-Men was due to make appearances and signings on Friday and Saturday, but is bowing out due to losing his voice.
