There is no doubt that comic-book adaptations to film and TV are huge right now, and the trend shows no sign of slowing down. (Honestly, I would be happy to see this continue ad infinitum!)

We already have [Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.](series:722469), [Arrow](series:720988), [Constantine](movie:874314), [The Flash](movie:15273), [Gotham](series:1127075), [Marvel's Agent Carter](series:1119765) and the rest of the Marvel Netflix lineup, and [The Walking Dead](series:201193) returning to screens this fall, and now news from the SDCC 2014 floor tells us that Warren Ellis will be involved in a TV adaptation very soon!

Ellis is known for projects like Red, Iron Man: Extremis, and Transmetropolitan. Personally, I am gunning for Transmet, not only because it is a favorite of mine, but because it makes the most sense. Red has already been made into a live-action film of the same name in 2010, and Iron Man is already firmly planted in pop culture through the movies.

Ellis will be working with Gale Anne Hurd (producer for The Walking Dead) and Valhalla Entertainment, and while there is no word yet on exactly when the project will be ready for release, I'll spend the entire time between now and then crossing my fingers for Jerusalem!

Five Ghosts and Night Mary have also been optioned for TV by Universal, so if all three projects come to fruition, we may end up with a comic-book adaptation for every night of the week!
